Solar module quality and reliability matter more than ever to make solar power a reliable and bankable part of future energy systems. Module quality is affected by manufacturing faults, degradation, or damage occurring during transport, installation or from severe weather events. Systematic, quantitative and cost-effective solutions for large scale module quality testing in the field are therefore a requirement.
Over many years we have developed a suite of innovative solutions for daytime photoluminescence (DPL) imaging of solar systems, including within an Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) project at the world-renowned School for Photovoltaic and Renewable Energy Engineering at the University of New South Wales, Sydney. Our DPL techniques offer unique insights into quality variations within solar systems that cannot be gained from visual, thermal, or EL testing, they also have substantial practical advantages and cost benefits, making it the technology of choice for routine operation and maintenance.
Our entire team firmly believes that this technology will revolutionize the market dynamics in the near future. We are glad to be part of it!
